Q: How did you get started in boating? A: Boating is "in my family." My father was a yacht captain and my grandfather built windjammers in Maine.
Q: What was your first boat? A: Tornado catamaran 20'.
Q: How did you choose your present boat? A: I had known the original owner for many years. I had worked on the boat as a little kid.
Q: Favorite place to visit with your boat and why: A: The "blue holes" of Stocking Island in the Exumas. There are pristine beaches and beautiful anchorages.
Q: Favorite restaurant to visit while boating: A: Coccoloba Plantation in Anguilla, because I know the chef. My next choice would be La Vie en Rose in St. Martin.
Q: What you like most about boating: A: The thrill of being on the water, the feel of the wind in my face, the freedom.
Q: A memorable event with your boat: A: I saw a triple rainbow while cruising in Stonington, Maine. Also, during a transatlantic, I'll never forget the sight of thousands of dolphins filling the horizon.
Q: Your “dream” trip would be: A: To the South Pacific, to the Galapagos Islands or to return to the fjords of Norway with their beautiful countryside and people.
